Torch: A light to shine through the darkness: let Ajahn’s torch show you the path to Nibbana, guiding you past Mara’s dark armies!

Bidding process:

We’ve set up Proxy Bidding for all auction items, which is different from the standard bidding process. Proxy Bidding (also known as Automatic Bidding) is an automatic bidding system that makes bidding convenient, so you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time someone places another bid. So, when you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for the item. The other bidders don’t know your maximum bid. Proxy Bidding will place bids on your behalf using the automatic bid increment amount, which is based on the current high bid. It’ll bid only as much as necessary to ensure that you remain the high bidder up to your maximum amount.

Please note the bid increments for this item are as follows:

$500 – $2,500: increment of $50

$2,500 – $5,000: increment of $100

$5,000 – $10,000: increment of $200

$10,000 – onwards: increment of $500

After you enter the maximum amount, please click the “Bid Now” button. Kindly note you will bid in Australian dollars.

If you are outbid, you will be sent an SMS notification to enter a new maximum amount (please ensure you add your mobile number and its country code e.g. +62 for Indonesia or +61 for Australia).

You will also be notified via SMS and/or email when you win or lose the auction at the end date.

These items have been donated to the Buddhist Society of Victoria Inc (BSV) for the purpose of raising funds for the Newbury Buddhist Monastery Retreat Centre project, and to promote Buddhist Spirituality and Practices. It has nil “Commercial Market Transferable Value”.

As the BSV is a DGR registered charitable organisation, all donations made to the BSV Monastery Building Fund are Tax Deductible in the hands of the donors.

We are inviting Bidders to bid for the Right to make a Donation to the BSV Monastery Building Fund.

The BSV will offer the item to the highest Bidder as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
